Estify raises $6.3 Million, and more in our latest Community Update
A lot has happened at Amplify since our last update so there’s a lot we’re excited to share this week:
First off, Estify, a SaaS service that helps auto-repair shops better estimate insurance claims, announced that it closed a $6.3M round earlier this year led by Romulus Capital. The company also announced the addition of two key senior executives to its leadership team: Rochelle Thielen (a former Mitchell International executive) as CEO and Randy Adams (former Yahoo! board member and an inventor of the PDF file format) as CTO.
The Flex Company, which creates an alternative to tampons, also announced another $3M in funding. This round was led by Better Our World Ventures, and included Cyan Banister of Founders Fund, Ellen Pao, Quest Ventures and Amplify.LA.
Three Amplify companies were among the 23 companies chosen to launch on stage at TechCrunch Disrupt last month:
- MedRepublic, a marketplace for medical tourism launched it’s online platform that connects patients to top quality doctors abroad.
- Sensay, a chat-bot that connects humans to other humans to answer questions on demand shared that it’s reaching nearly 1M monthly active users. Sensay also recently announced $4.5M in funding from Norwest, Greycroft, Draper Associates, Amplify and others.
- TallyGo, a navigation SDK that provides companies an alternative to the Google Maps API & Waze, publicly shared details about their unique routing algorithm for the first time.
Earlier this week, Vadio, a music video rights and distribution company, announced a new partnership with Shazam to power all music videos on the platform.
